I was walking my dog Taffy the other night and nearly had an horrific accident. As I crossed a road I nearly stepped on a frog. Well, I think it was a frog. I’m not exactly an amphibiologist (is that even word?). Anyway, I nearly crushed a hopping critter that was either a frog or a toad. I’ll call it a frog.
Happy to say that I swerved my size 9 boot at the last second and averted disaster. I ushered my new friend to the side of the road and encouraged it into the grass verge.
As I walked on it brought to mind something I had heard years ago. It was a question about three frogs. It goes like this.
There were three frogs sitting on a log. One of them decided to jump off. How many frogs were left on the log?
The first reaction is to say TWO, but the answer is actually THREE. The frog only decided to jump off the log, but it didn’t take any action.
Over my working life I have come across so many people who take important decisions in their career, in their life, but then don’t take action. Taking ACTION is everything. Do something. Give it a go. Sure, you will fail sometimes. Probably many times. But your ONLY chance of success in this life comes if you take ACTION.
So do it now!
